MDF (medium density fiberboard) is made of composite materials.
MDF boards have a high density of the surface layer and are used for the production of high-quality furniture and interior design items.
Standard MDF is a medium-density fiberboard with high mechanical strength.
Both sides of the board are perfectly smooth and matte. This material is well suited for veneering, painting, varnishing, laminating and pasting with decorative PVC film - with a little priming and layers of paint, you can get an excellent surface.
MDF is made from wood waste - specifically the fibers - that are glued together using heat, resin or pressure.
It is characterized by uniformity, resistance to deformation, smooth structure, which makes it an excellent material, for example, for sawing, where, unlike other materials, very smooth edges are obtained. The boards have a minimal reaction to high humidity levels.
Thanks to these properties, MDF is a universal product and is used not only in the production of furniture, but in almost all areas of construction.
